Metric reference

What every card on the Growth, Engagement, Audience, Leaderboards and Lens views counts, and which filters each one follows.

Every plan

This page defines every analytics card in Colossus, view by view. Cards follow the view's date range and filters unless a card says otherwise, and count in the server's time zone. Colossus counts what messages carry, never their text.

Growth: joins, leaves and retention

Under Analytics › Growth. Cards narrow by role, not by channel.

Members

The server's member count at the end of each period, as Discord reports it. Always the whole server.

Net growth

Joins minus leaves. Members who come back are shown apart from new ones.

Boosts

Server boosts active at the end of each period.

Join sources

Joins by way in: an invite, the vanity URL, Server Discovery, a bot or an integration.

Joins by hour

Joins by weekday and hour.

Newcomer replies

Of joiners who sent a first message, the share answered within a day.

Activation

The share of joiners who posted or joined voice within 7 or 30 days.

Role uptake

The share of joiners who picked up any role within 7 or 30 days.

Retention

The share of each period's joiners still in the server after 7 or 30 days. This card, Activation and Role uptake stop 7 or 30 days before today, while the newest joiners' window runs.

Leavers by segment

Leavers by the segment they were in when they left.

Tenure at leaving

How long leavers had been members.

Engagement: messages, replies and voice

Under Analytics › Engagement. Cards narrow by role and by channel.

Activity by hour

Messages or voice by weekday and hour.

Audience: presence, segments and activity

Under Analytics › Audience. Presence and app cards need the bot's Presence intent and read the whole server; Members by last activity and Account age narrow by role only.

Presence

Members online, idle, on do not disturb or offline.

Online by hour

The average members online at each hour.

Apps

Time members spent showing an app, such as a game, on their profile.

Members by last activity

Current members by how long ago they last wrote or spoke.

Current members by the year their Discord account was made.

Leaderboards: top members, invites and channels

Under Analytics › Leaderboards. Press a column to rank by it, a member or channel to open it in Lens, and Download CSV for the whole board.

Activity

The top 200 members by messages, voice time, reactions given or reactions received.

Levels

Members by level and XP, as /leaderboard ranks them, over All time unless you change the range. Shown while levelling is on.

Inviters and Invite links

Channels

Every channel with activity in the range, by messages, threads and voice, busiest first.

Apps

Events

Scheduled events, by members interested and members who attended: those in the event's voice channel from just before it started until it ended.

Lens: one member or channel in detail

Under Analytics › Lens, one member or one channel in detail. The member Lens needs Member profiles and leaderboards access.

Members

One member's messages and message types, voice, hours, conversations, apps, commands and emoji, and with levelling on their XP and level under Levelling. Pick a second member to compare.

Channels
