Import from another bot
Colossus reads members' levels straight from MEE6, Lurkr, Kiai, Amari and Juniper. From any other levelling bot, such as Arcane, Tatsu, ProBot or Nadeko, members keep their levels through the old bot's level roles, or by claiming their old level for your team to approve. Importing needs Manager or Admin access and works on every plan.
Import levels from another bot
- Open Rewards › Earning XP › Settings and scroll to Levelling history.
- In its footer, press the bot you're leaving. A row appears for it.
- Do what the row asks in the old bot first, such as making its leaderboard public, then start the read from the row.
- When the read finishes, check it and press Apply levels; see Check the import before it counts.
By default each member starts with the XP their old level takes on your level curve, so they keep the same level. Members who opted out of Colossus are left out. One import runs at a time, and where several imports disagree, the highest level counts. Nobody ends up below what their activity here already earned.
Move levels from MEE6
- In MEE6's dashboard, turn on "Make my server's leaderboard public".
- In Levelling history, press MEE6, set the lowest level to read if you like, and press Read leaderboard.
Colossus brings each member's level and XP. MEE6's level roles and XP pace show as suggestions marked "From MEE6", which you can add as level perks and XP rules. To keep MEE6's XP per level, pick MEE6's curve under Level curve (Pro).
Move levels from Lurkr
Either set the leaderboard's visibility to Public in Lurkr's dashboard, press Lurkr in Levelling history and press Read leaderboard; or switch the row to Lurkr's export file, press Choose file, pick the JSON file Lurkr's dashboard exports, and press Upload. Lurkr's level roles, multipliers and XP pace show as suggestions.
Move levels from Kiai
Kiai shares levels only with apps your server authorises. Run the /application authorize command the row shows in your server, allow reading levels, then press Read leaderboard. Or switch the row to Kiai's export file and upload the JSON file Kiai's /export sends. Colossus brings levels, XP and voice minutes, and offers Kiai's level roles, multipliers and level-up message as suggestions.
Move levels from Amari
Press AmariBot in Levelling history and press Read leaderboard. Colossus reads Amari's public leaderboard and offers its level roles as suggestions.
Move levels from Juniper
Press JuniperBot in Levelling history and start the read. Juniper's ranking is read through your browser, so keep the page open until it finishes; if it stops for 15 minutes, start it again to carry on.
Move levels from Arcane, Tatsu, ProBot or any other bot
Colossus can't read these bots' leaderboards, but members keep their levels through the roles the old bot gave them.
- Add the old bot's level roles as level perks: under Rewards › Perks, press Import existing roles, pick the roles and confirm the level of each.
- In Levelling history, press Perk roles members hold, then Lift them. Every member is lifted at once to at least the level of the perk role they hold.
- For members whose exact level matters, also let them claim it.
To keep the same XP per level, pick the old bot's curve under Level curve (Pro): Arcane, Atlas, Kiai, Nadeko, Lurkr, Amari, Dyno and MEE6 are there.
Let members claim their old level
- In Levelling history, press Claims, then Save. Members get
/claim. - Members run
/claimwith the level they had, from 1 to 100,000. - Approve or deny each claim under Review member requests.
Check the import before it counts
- On the import's row, press Review to see who goes up, goes down or stays the same.
- Press Apply levels. Nothing is announced for imported levels.
- To catch members the old bot's list missed, the review then offers From perk roles, which lifts holders of perk roles, and Let members claim, which turns on
/claim.
To undo an import, press Remove on its row, then Discard import. Levels are worked out again without it, and some may drop.
Try Colossus beside the old bot, then switch
- Press Start trial. Members get
/rank,/leaderboardand/claimbeside the old bot, with no announcements and no role changes. - When levels look right, press Switch…, then Switch now. Colossus announces level-ups and gives perk roles from that hour.
- Turn off the old bot's levelling, or remove the bot.
Undo switch leaves levels as they are, but Colossus keeps announcing and giving roles beside the old bot; press Start trial to go back to a quiet trial.
Import your server's message history
The import starts on its own when the bot joins, and again when an upgrade reaches further back. Colossus reads every channel, thread and forum post the bot can see, newest first, in the background, so charts and Pulse cover the time before Colossus joined: the last 14 days on Free, up to 365 days on Pro and everything on Titan, within the server's retention. Imports on Pro and Titan run before those on Free. Workspace › Import shows how far it has read. On Pro and Titan, Import history runs it again by hand, for example after giving the bot access to more channels, and Cancel import stops it.
If it doesn't work
- A row says what it needs. Do that in the old bot, such as making its leaderboard public, then read again.
- "Colossus can't read Tatsu's leaderboard yet." Use the old bot's level roles or claims.
- Members are above your highest level. Raise Highest level under Add prestige, then read or upload again.
- Members are missing after a read. They weren't on the old bot's leaderboard or export. Use Catch who's missing in the review.
- Some channels were skipped in the history import. The bot can't read their history.
