Get started

To add Colossus to a Discord server, sign in with Discord, pick the server, choose a plan and invite the bot. You need the Manage Server permission on that server.

Add Colossus to your server

1. On the Colossus home page, press Continue with Discord. Discord shares your account and your server list; nothing is added to a server yet.
2. Press the server. The list shows servers where your account holds Manage Server and that no other team runs on Colossus.
3. Under Pick a plan, pick Free, Pro or Titan, then press Start free on Free or Continue on a paid plan. The pricing page compares them. Titan runs on a bot you own, which adds two steps: see Run on your own bot.
4. Press Add to Discord. In Discord, press Continue, then Authorize. Keep the setup page open: it moves on by itself when the bot joins.
5. On Pro, press Continue to payment, or Decide later to subscribe later from Workspace › Plan & billing. On Titan, press Continue to payment.
6. Press Open the dashboard.

Once the bot is in, Colossus imports the server's recent message history on its own, so charts start from the server's past instead of today; see Import your server's history. The last step lets you give teammates access and takes the server's time zone from your browser. Change the time zone later under Workspace › Server › Analytics timezone.

What permissions Colossus asks for

The invite asks for Administrator, Manage Server, View Channels, Read Message History and Manage Threads. Recording keeps working if you untick Administrator. Without Manage Server, joins are recorded without the invite they came through. Level-ups and perk roles need Manage Roles, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files and Use External Emojis on the Colossus role.

Find your way around the dashboard

The sidebar lists five modules. Opening a server lands on the first page your access allows, and a lock marks a page your plan leaves out.

If it doesn't work

• The server isn't listed. Your account lacks Manage Server there, or another team already runs Colossus on it. Get the permission or sign in with the account that has it, then press Refresh list. For a server another team runs, ask them to add you.
• Setup failed. Press Retry.
